Who needs a paid seat?
Anyone who needs more than 250 MB of drawings, or a second person editing alongside them. Free covers one editor on up to 250 MB of drawings; viewing, commenting, and opening share links stay free for everyone — invite as many viewers as you like.
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. Keep up to 250 MB of drawings and use the whole editor on them — markups, measurements and takeoffs included — for as long as you like. Pro lifts the 3-drawing limit.
Do I have to install anything?
No. Notch runs entirely in the browser — Mac, Windows, or a jobsite tablet. Nothing to download, license per machine, or keep updated.
Can I try Pro before paying?
You don't have to — the free plan is the trial: the full editor on up to 250 MB of drawings, for as long as you like. Start a 14-day Pro trial when you need more room.
How does billing work?
Seats are billed at the rate selected. Add or remove seats anytime from workspace settings. Viewers never count toward seats. There's no cancellation fee and no annual lock-in on the monthly plan.
How is Notch AI priced?
AI sheet indexing is included with Pro — every upload is read and indexed automatically. The Notch AI assistant draws on a prepaid dollar balance: top it up from workspace settings when you want it, watch usage drawn against it as you go, and nothing is ever charged automatically.
Is my data hostage if I cancel?
No. Everything exports freely — your PDFs, your markups, and your quantity exports — on the free tier or after you cancel. Your drawings are yours.
What happens to my markups if I cancel?
Nothing is deleted. Your drawings and markups stay exactly where they are — readable, exportable, and still shareable — but the workspace stops taking new uploads and edits until you reactivate. It doesn't drop to the 3-drawing free plan, because a workspace holding fifty drawings can't be squeezed into three. Everything comes straight back when you resubscribe.
