Box is a secure content management and file sharing platform built for the enterprise. Send a drawing to Notch from Box's own file menu, mark it up and measure it, and publish the marked-up set back as a new version of the same file.

Add Export to Notch in Box

Open any PDF in Box → More Options → Integrations → Export to Notch. First use connects your Box account automatically.

The drawing opens in the Notch editor. The cloud icon in the header shows the live link back to Box.

Stay in sync, both ways

Notch checks the source file and flags new revisions; publish updates that same file in Box with your markups as a new version.

What Notch can access

Read-only, acting as you. The connection can never reach anything your own Box account can’t.

List folders and drawings your Box account can open
Download a file you select to import it, and re-check it for new revisions
Publish your markups back to a file you imported, as a new version of that file (Box keeps every prior version)

Notch cannot

Rename, move, or delete your Box files, or touch any file you didn't import into Notch
Act as anyone but the person who connected

Box questions

Does Notch watch the file after import?

Yes — linked documents are checked on open and on a schedule, and the editor shows an out-of-date indicator when Box has a newer revision. Updating is always your click; nothing changes on its own.

Can publishing lose a drawing revision in Box?

No. Publishing uploads a new version of the file, so Box's own version history keeps every prior revision — you can roll back in Box at any time. And if Box holds a revision newer than the one you're working on, Notch refuses to publish until you've updated to it.

Who can use a Box connection once it's made?

Only the person who made it. A shared connection would lend your Box access to the whole workspace.

Does importing use a seat?

Importing adds documents, so it needs an editor seat on a paid plan — same rule as uploading. Browsing is free.
