Dropbox + Notch

Dropbox is a file storage and sharing service used by teams everywhere. Connect your account, mark drawings up in Notch, and publish the marked-up set back onto the same file.

Connect Dropbox

Workspace settings → Integrations. Find the card, hit Connect.

Import your drawings

Hit Import in your library, pick Dropbox, browse your folders, and take the sheets you want.

Stay in sync, both ways

Notch checks the source file and flags new revisions; publish updates that same file in Dropbox with your markups as a new version.

What Notch can access

Read-only, acting as you. The connection can never reach anything your own Dropbox account can’t.

Download a file you select to import it, and re-check it for new revisions
Publish your markups back to a file you imported, as a new version of that file (Dropbox keeps every prior version)

Does Notch watch the file after import?

Yes — linked documents are checked on open and on a schedule, and the editor shows an out-of-date indicator when Dropbox has a newer revision. Updating is always your click; nothing changes on its own.

Can publishing lose a drawing revision in Dropbox?

No. Publishing uploads a new version of the file, so Dropbox's own version history keeps every prior revision — you can roll back in Dropbox at any time. And if Dropbox holds a revision newer than the one you're working on, Notch refuses to publish until you've updated to it.

Can the whole team share one connection?

No. A connection acts as the person who made it, so everyone connects their own account and sees exactly what they could already open.

Does importing use a seat?

Importing adds documents, so it needs an editor seat on a paid plan — same rule as uploading. Browsing is free.
